New to 240's need some help.

Ok everyone here's whats up: I am almost 18 and for a year and a half I drove a 91 300ZX Twin Turbo. Long story short I let someone else drive the car, and they wrecked it and now my parents (who paid for the majority of the car) are selling it. I need a replacement vehicle and another Z is out of the question due to insurance and other costs. I did some research and found that a 240 would be a nice substitution, as it doesn't seem to have the major drawbacks of the Z i.e. gas mileage, insane parts prices, and impossible to work in the engine bay. I am not a noob when it comes to forums, but prior to this I was only a member of TwinTurbo.net, so I need a little bit of help. If there is a post or FAQ that explains all the things to look for in a 240, or the pro's and con's of each year/model/trim could someone please point me to it? I know nothing about 240's except that they are good drift cars, rwd, and have a lot of potential. I would be modifying it over time, but nothing too crazy right away, and maybe an engine swap down the road. I am very interested in joining the 240 community and all help is much appreciated.

TIA, Jordan
