not flaming or anything, but I had already said, that I knew its wasn't an easy, and cheap cheap. I mean look at my first post, who else can say (no offense to anyone) they spent 5-6 hours looking on up to 12 different sites/forums for info on how to do a swap, and whats need to do a swap.

But like I said, I'm going to go on and do the rb25 for now, and later on do the rb26.

I was going to do it for the challange, and also it was going to be my track car.

Thanks for the help on letting me know that your able to get motors, I'll keep that in mind.

It doesn't bother me if I have sponsors or not, If I do it all myself, I can claim I did it with no help. but sponsors would be nice as I could get the help on the parts when needed.

What the hell is a 400z??? I'm little slow on newer cars, I perfer old cars, that are easy to work on, and don't have a crap ton of electronics.

I was joking, I'd have to hit the lotto to do that many swaps. lets see the swaps I know of are...

sr20de
sr20det s13 red top
sr20det s13 black top
sr20det s14 (don't know much about the s14 motors)
sr20det s15 (don't know much about the s15 motors either!)
ca18det
rb20det
rb25det
neo rb25det
rb26dett
rb30dett
ka24det (not really a swap, but its a turbo on a motor!)
vq35
vg30dett
ls1
2jz

those are all the swaps that I know that can be done!

Anyways it doesn't matter what motor you swap, a swap is a swap!

nah H22 are good engines... in hondas i dont bash or flame hondas infact i love to work on hondas thats where i make the big money LOL but the K20 is a better engine then the H22 lol.

funny story well i had this misconception of N/A GS-R's being fast one day a customer came in with a GS-R teg and had alot of stuff done to it (more stuff then i had done to my sr) and when i was done fixing it i took it on a test drive......... damn i was so disapointed it felt slower then a KA... maybe i was spoiled by the RSX type-s i drove everyday and i was expecting atleast the same performance with all those mods but nope.

My first actual car was a 5th gen prelude, I actually liked my h22. lol, well at least compared to a couple civics/integs I drove back in the day.

Anyways thank you for the high jacked thread for honda motors!!!

anyways back on the target please!

after some more studing, It seems like that the rb25 swap is very very close to the rb26 swap, minus a few things that aren't needed.

*I've got a price on a r33 front clip already.

*I'm going to use the syko performance install kit, which I will have to use the stock r33 crossmember, but it lets the motor set lower, and closer to the firewall for better weight distribution.

*I'm going to get a driveshaft shop one peice steel driveshaft.

*I'm going to keep the stock intake manifold for now.

*Mckinney Motorsports FMIC, for some reason I like how the in/out ports are on the IC

*I may go on and get (ALL NEW) Timing Belt, Oil Pump, Water Pump, etc., but it depend on how much money I got left after getting everything in

*Oil Cooler

*Oil Filter Relocation kit (I looked for these but couldn't find any, does any company make them )

*Koyo Radiator, Its not a easy fit from what I've read, but I may modify the support alittle, and give it a angled placement or so, not sure yet, I'll have to get everything in to see what happens.

*FAL Dual Fans #220

*Turbo Timer

*Exedy HyperSingle Clutch/Flywheel Kit

I'm not going to do any power adders right off the bat, I need to drive it for awhile and get use to the power and then handling of the car.

I've noticed that the rb25 doesn't have a great aftermarket support, whats up with that, or am I just looking at the wrong places

anyways thats what I have planned for now!

not to keep trying to talk you out of it, but you really are wasting money dumping an sr for an rb26. if you want a challenge, tear down the sr, rebuild it, put in a stand alone, and pour your money in to a nice twin scroll setup. that's more challenging than an rb26 swap.
