OBDII using OBDI Tranny
I need to do a 5 speed swap on that ka before I feel right building the car anymore. My issue is finding a 96-98 5 speed transmission. Its impossible to find one near me... Im at the point of paying $70 extra just for shipping to recieve one.
My question though, if I were to use a S13 OBDI tranny I would get a CEL. Would it affect my car in anyother way? |
Dude you can use the SOHC tranny you just need to swap out the speed sensor so that it will work for your DOHC.

Serious so there wont be a CEL?

I am going to piggy back on this thread, because this is my case.
95 S14 using a S13 Transmission. my gauge reading is way off by X2 the speed. am I able to use a S14 manual speed sensor in the S13 transmission? I am concerned about the sensor's teeth width and counts so I can get a correct speed reading on my car. Thanks. |

Drill hole for sensor and tap to secure sensor down and use washers to raisee sensor from hitting flywheel teeth. |
