Please help me pick out my next car.....

Hi guys, this is my first post/ thread here.

I'm an integra type R owner, and recently totalled that vehicle.

The only other car I would consider is an s15.

Here are some options I have for a new car:

I am all set to pick up a 01 usdm nbp itr for a very LOW price and only 30k miles on it.
But for about the same price, I could also have my pick of the following (from an importer I have been in contact with for some time in japan) - this is the excerpts from a couple emails:

> Following vehicle is available just now.
> 1999 Silvia Spec R. 6MT. 19000km. Blue color. No accident. Points 75.
> Interior A. One owner.
> AC, PS, PW, AW, SRS, ABS, low down, aftermarket muffler. Price 15900USD.

> C. FOB 16700USD.
> 1996 Integra type-R. 75000km. No accident. White color. Points 65. Interior

I'll post up pics when I get a chance. Suffice it to say the expression on my face is

s15 spec R or dc2R... jdm either way.

And I *may* have a way around the street legality aspect as well.....

Thoughts fella's?

honda's always seem kinda overdone to me, if u were gonna buy a car id definitly go with the s15 :). The only thing wrong with that is making it street legal (i assume ur using it for daily use). I dont know exactly what i have to do to make it street legal. But if u can afford to make it street legal then the s15 would definitly be my choice :D

What is the name of this importer??? Are they gonna legalize it or are you gonna have to do that?? Id take the S15:cool:

ITR, those things will wipe up on many silvias STOCK for STOCK. If you're boostin, LOOK OUT.

And they look better too! If you go with the S15 you will have a difficult time finding support for it as well as parts. Knowledge as well. Stick to Honda.

S15 won't be street legal. It would be much easier to get the Honda legalized.

I'd say buy the S15 and register it as an S14 (what's a little fraud anyway?). Aftermarket support should not be a concern because parts are added CONSTANTLY to the US market, that should definitly not be a concern.
