Please Help With Power Windows

I am hoping someone out there can help me with this, I have a 95 240 sx and the driver side power window is not working. I have taken the panel off and I do not think it is the switch because when you press it you can here a clicking so evidently it is transferring power. This is where I get further confused the clicking I am hearing is not coming from the motor it is coming from a little white box with wires going into it. Does anyone know what this box is? Has anyone had this problem? I really need some first hand experience here I need to know what to replace and if it is not the motor I definately do not want to replace it, that little puppy is 450.00. Nissan must be real damn proud of it I have found salvage motor but even that is 100.00. So please any help would be so appreciated my name is john and I said I would greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks John

most likely the sound from the box is the relays or servos, similar to when u lock the doors with the remote, u hear a clicking...im not really sure what the problem could be, have you had it checked by a technician?

but, the problem sounds like it could be the motor, as it seems like power is being transferred to the relays, maybe its a connection somewhere between the relays and the motor...:dunno:

did you ever figure it out mine is doing the same thing and it doesnt seem to be getting any power to the motor even though the relay is clicking. I will test further on monday when I have real tools but with the test light I made (lightbulb and some wire) I could find power going to the motor. I really wish someone had a wiring diagram for the how thing since I am not really sure what wires are for what but there are about 12 wires on the switch 8 on the relay and 4-5 going to the motor. I know my switch is worn out but I can still get the relay to click but no movement of the motor.

there is a servo, and lots of wires between them. check for a short. mine did the same thing, so I pulled on the wires till it worked, then duct taped them in that position. its an easy fix for an annoying problem. also, it could be the connection between the servo and the control unit. think of it like a weak battery connection, the starter will click but not spin over.
