My best 240 moment has to be yesterday... nearly 4 years after i bought the car... I finally have a license plate on it, so its legal to drive.

Anyway the best moment was the first time i went wide open on the throttle.... suprising torque! wasnt expecting that kind of pull... and then the neck snap from first to second gear, accidentally chirping the tires. I love my 240

 

Best moment, Sprint racing with a buddy on some backroad. 2 Am in the morning ripping through private streets, there came this hairpin type turn very short ....very small..so i thought "why not?" so i just inertia'd it drifted the whole thing sooo clean, forgetting about my buddy im racing i nearly hit his car but since he such a good driver he went in the inside while i drifted around him...after that, we just stopped and were talking about what the hell just happend. GOod TImes Good times

 

My best moment was last week.

A friend of mine has a 2002 Dodge Ram with a HEMI, I of course have my 95' Zenki.

We pull into the mall parking lot during the middle of the day, during the week, so needless to say it is empty. I of course take full advantage and try to park my ride by sliding into the spot. Got close but I still need practice. Anyway, my friend not to be shown up by the "week" ride, tries to out power and out slide me.

I would give him the benefit of the doubt in an all out drag but no way could he outslide or out corner me in an all out drift war. I guess you know how that ended. I had three or four great slides. I even did a J turn and pulled it out with out coming to a stop. Oh, and I never had to use my E brake. All power and good timing.

A 130whp (?) zenki out does another american muscle engine.

 

My best day was last Friday. I was leaving school and the traffic was backing up on the street that I normally take to get home. I decided to forget it, I was taking a shortcut today all of a sudden. I did a really nice drift through a 90 degree corner, countersteering, squealing tires and all, and there is some guy in a ugly riced out 2g Eclipse that is coming down that street I turned onto. The look on his face was like "aww.... I want to do that so bad... my car sucks". I felt so great after that.

It was the weekend of my 19th birthday and I was on my way from Baton rouge to my party . I had my girl and 2 of my friends in the car and we were on I-12 in bumper to bumper traffic but everyone was goin about 75-80ish . I was in the left lane and saw an opening in the right lane so I go to check my blind spot on that side and everyone in the car screams "BRAKE!" ........ I turn my head back to the road and the suv in front of me had slammed on it's brakes so I shot over to the right hand lane . Now the thing to know about this specific section of I-12 is it's an overpass goin over a VERY busy highway and it has like 5 extremely bad dips . Well , when I shot over to the right lane I hit the first dip and the wheels cut loose . The front end bounced and the wheel jerked to the left towards to SUVs . So , I pulled back to the right and hit the second dip and the wheels cut loose again and seeing as all my tires were bald i went in to full spin . During my second spin someone actually drove by my in the lane I was spinning . I was looking directly at the traffic behind me praying to spin back right and kept spinning . By this time we were headed for the right shoulder at the top of the over pass but not quite to the guard rail yet and I did NOT want to end up in the middle of the road under the over pass so I cut the wheels the other way stomped the brakes let off the clutch , the car died and the wheel locked up and we skidded to a stop with only inches before a sudden drop off into the highway . As we all sat there in silence we all looked back at once and saw the skid marks then looked back forward and I broke the silence with "D@mn that was some cool shiat! "

Drove away with scorch marks on the driver side tires up to the rims .

Sorry it was so long , but it's the very moment that I realized I would NEVER buy another fwd and never forsake my 240 because I honestly believe the way the 240 handles and a little luck is what saved us .

 

My best 240 moment has to be today!! To make a long story short, I blew the motor in my car and had it replaced. On the way home from the mechanic I'm sitting at a red light when this idiot in a dodge ram twin cab slams me from behind. Oh my baby was soooo ugly. I begged the insurance adjuster not to total my priced possession out as it is paid for. So after months of trying to find parts for my car (i live in alabama and these cars are like totally extinct which makes it that much more desirable) i finally get all the parts i need. Take it to the auto beauty shop to have it repaired and some jerk decides he wants my cd player out of it (i have the face to the cd player which makes them that much more of an a$$) they broke my quarter glass window out and snatches out the cd player minus the face to it b/c its at home with me. In the process of snatching out the cd player the amateurs ended up basically destroying my whole dashboard so you know i was pissed. Of course the shop shows me a sign that says not responsible for items left in car, well this was not in the car it was on the car freaking turd...but i cut the buck and he gave me $500 back for the damage. So now i'm trying to find a quarter glass window and boy are they expensive if i go through the dealership. So about a wk later i see a 95 240 champagne gold looking like my twin on a wrecker headed to a junk yard. i followed the wrecker bought the window and the entire dash board. i finally got my baby back today and after almost a year of not being able to drive my baby boy does it purr. I guess you never miss a good thing till its gone but when it comes back WOW what a feelin!!! hope yall enjoyed:-)

i think the best time in my 240 was the first time i went into a ditch, theres this turn in my town its from one road onto a bridge and then onto another road, its a 180 degree turn, i had been tryin to do this turn forever, so one night i tried taking it, i took it at like 20-30 had the turn perfect caught the different type of road surface and boom caught traction and i was paralel parked in a ditch, 2 hours later a tow truck came and pulled me out, luckily i have aaa and nothing happened to my car

 

The best time in my s13 had to be last saturday when i went for a test drive after a tranny swap,
I can't belive how much fun i was missing

 

my best moment had to be last weekend sometime. i saw this honda accord with body kit and exhaust up the street a ways. i thought this would be interesting and i blew through traffic to catch up to it. i caught him on a stop light and he looked and smiled at me. I smiled and revved my engine to about 4 grand. his smile turned into a frown real quick and he turned right real quick before the light turned green.. i felt proud of my 240

The other day some guy in what looked like an 88 or 89 mustang 5.0 pulled up to me at a light. We both had our windows down.

He looks over at me and laughs out loud, then he goes "hah! Front wheel drive!" So i get this big smile on my face.

The light turns green and we're just going down the road, then I clutch kicked in second and swung the rear end out to about 75 degrees and smoked the rear tires for about 25 feet.

We pulled up the the next set of lights. He looks over at my with his mouth wide open. I shrug and say "huh... front wheel drive you say?"

Then i burned him off the light and through the merge.


Had to be the funniest thing in the world, he looked so pissed and ashamed.

My greatest moment was when I was crossing a major high way in the rain and was having fun with my new intake and it spun but not like what I was used to cause I had been practicing drifting in the rain and did a 540 and went backwards through the intersection the best part of it all was that my car battery cable detatched in the chaos and my car stoped backwards in the middle of the road. So I figured it out quick and got out the car to put it back on and it just so happens a guy walks up and asks if I'm having trouble and when I got out of the car he closed the door for me and locked my keys in the car. Thank god I cary a spare. Yup that had to be the coolest spinout in the world and the funniest situation I've ever been in. I love my 240, I'm going to make it run forever. Now all I gots to do is find a girl with the same personality as my 240.
