Purchasing european 200sx need advice.

Hello Everybody.

The time has come to purchase a new car and I am seriously considering on purchasing a european spec 200sx 1997-00.

My first question, was the S15 Silvia ever produced in LHD form?? I read the history on the front page and it said it wasnt, but I would just like to make sure because I am willing to import it from anywhere if its available in LHD.

My second question, whats the difference between the european 1997-00 200sx and the Jap Spec S14 Silvia other then the placement of the steering wheel??

will all the aftermarket parts from japan fit the car? or are they different a little.

Any info will be appreciated.

1) No, they were never made in LHD, only RHD>
2) From what I know, the euro 200sx is EXACTLY like the Silvia in japan, except its LHD. Yes all the parts will fit, you should not have a problem with it.

Happy shopping!

thanks for the reply.

What is the specification of the European S14a.

it says 200ps, is that equivilant to 200hp?

And how much hp would it produce with bolt ons? downpipe, catback, intercooler + piping, bov etc. But on the stock longblock and turbo.

is their some sort of step by step modification guide for the S14?

i'd say 200ps is about 185-190ish hp. you should buy a HyperRev book from ebay. look for Vol. 19;Silvia #2 . Lots of good info for parts, good pictures too. although you probably wont be able to read it, all you have to know is the current yen rate and decipher whats going on in the pictures and figure out the metric system.

200ps=197hp(I think, if I did the calculations right)
