Question about the Hand Brake

A couple of my friends and I were talking about tightening our hand brake, but we don't wanna go into something that we don't know how to do. So I was wondering if anyone of you guys can help me out on how to tighten the hand brake. Thanks.

by the way, you can see where you spray painted your tire while doing your rim.. overall the picture is kinda crappy, may want to find a new one?

dont have anything about the hand brake.. your pic has just been bothering me for a while

some handbrakes have an adjuster on the cable where the cable meets the actual handbrake lever. ive never seen the 13's handbrake so i dont know if its there or not, but if it is, it should look similar to the cable tensioners on mountain bike brake and shifter cables. IF it has such a device, find out which direction tightens it. also, dont quote me, but there is such a thing as too tight (handbrake down, handbrake so tight its STILL engaged).

Kasirus : Yeah, the picture is crappy I don't really care about those tires I'm changing them anyways.

Darren337: Yeah we were thinkin' it was like that also, but we just wanted to make sure of the idea that we had in our heads. It's coo, I'll just end up looking and reading more stuff about it.

uh... under the ebrake handle there's a tightening nut. tighten it.

If you can't see it, raise the ebrake, then look under the boot - it's right there. If the tightening nut is bottomed out, then your cables are stretched and you need new ones
