A real quick question.....

Can anyone tell me if this is a short ram or the full intake system? http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...002035/c-10101

MS!3 02-28-2008 08:16 PM

short ram. i wouldnt even bother with it tho. Your going to waste $100 or so and not notice anything.

xsubxwooferx 02-28-2008 08:19 PM

I know but with short money I dont know what else really to buy for a stock motor lol...i just raced dodge ram hemi and I was doing over 100 but loss badly :-(. Anyways... the thing is, I really want a Full intake without having to buy short ram with extension and it being a iceman in which I am not sure if they make intakes anymore.

i'm not one to pick on theres but isn't this your 3rd or 4th thread about intakes?

MS!3 02-28-2008 08:52 PM

i sure you can spend that 100 on like tie rod ends or something, an alignment. do some maintenance. im sure its needed.

TypeX180 02-28-2008 10:06 PM

or give the 100 bucks to me...i need some ****

save then $100, then save up another $500. buy suspension, be happy.

or else go to advance auto, and get the K&N drop in air filter. Same results for $45 and you can clean that filter over and over again. which will save $ in the long run.

No cheap way to increase power my friend, welcome to modifying cars.

+1 on the KN filter.

HPF Chrisk 02-29-2008 01:07 PM

Buy a maf adapter plate and put a aem dry flow filter on there, out flows the kn by a ton

NiSmO Knight 02-29-2008 05:03 PM

Both have similar results, just that the AEM filter makes noise. Its all about the filter, the internal smooth circular piping doesnt do much for something minor like this. It will help later on if you build an NA beast like Vinnie's S13, then it would be worth the $ to buy an intake. Until then, K&N drop in or the AEM cone filter will do.

xsubxwooferx 02-29-2008 08:03 PM

well me being 18 and not having a credit card, my dad trust only some sites when he buys things and that was one of them.

NiSmO Knight 02-29-2008 09:17 PM

Bro, a few other places your dad can trust are our vendors, great service, great products. No joke, just go through our vendors section and contact the person from that shop for a club price. Our vendors go through A LOT before Charles lets them sell here.

EDIT: Paypal is also a good way to buy things online, you have buyer protection through paypal.

Ahhh thanks didn't know that was on here. Also, for turning car into mainly daily driving and drifting would suspension be the first thing to buy?
