running rich.. Let's make a list.

I seriously screwed myself over with my ram air. I'm running crazzzzzy rich with an average of 18.5 mpg (26 mpg before). After removing the ram-air, i'm still getting the same mileage.. so now i'm gonna check everything tomorrow. I want to make a list of everything that can affect an engine running RICH (NOT MAINTENANCE ISSUES because i did most of it) so please add anything to this list. the rich list check-

-timing
-o2 sensor
-knock sensor

these i'm not 100 percent sure
-cap rotor?(i don't know if a bad set can make you run rich but i know you can get bad gas mileage)
-spark plugs?(same thing with cap/rotor)

everything seems to run fine.. except i'm eating up gas.

anything else to add to the list?

btw i did a search and i got 12 pages. HELP A NOOB OUT!

my timing is set at 16 degrees BTDC, and stock is 20 BTDC so i am running rich as well. i have to put it back to 20 cause i need to smog my car now. u check the timing right?

I don't see how a ram air setup could be the cause of your problems...

it wouldnt... if it actually "rammed" it would provide more air = not running rich. Check your Maf signals and ground too

I know, I'm referring to all the problems he has been having, look at his previous posts about problems from the ram air, I see now way that what he did actually caused any problems at all

a fault MAF can cause richness? Even if it's running smooth?

I honestly just think it's my o2 sensor.. but i'll be screwed if it's not. I just want to make a checklist for future references if this happens again.

again it's not a bad mileage maintenance question.. it's an engine going rich question.
