S13 axels on an S14?

I need an S14 axel and the s13 one's are easier to come by, so I looked up the part numbers at autozone.com. The passanger side axels are differant numbers between S13 and S14 but the drivers side is the same part number. So I figured I would be safe in getting the S13 drivers side axel(have not got it yet) but does anyone have a clue why the passanger side is a differant number?

Im guessing it would work. Don't take my word for it though. You could just go out to the junkyard and get a vlsd out of a j30 and the axles and have fun whlie your at it. lol

The s13 axles wont work for the j30 diff.. You would need j30 axles for it to fit on the diff.

Sorry, I was the one confused. Some years will work. The one I got I needed to get the axles because the shafts from the s13 wouldnt bolt onto the diff. Sorry about that. lol

I appologize for taking so long, been super busy. But yes, the S13 driver's side axle will fit the S14 driver's side with no issues what so ever. I have no idea on the passanger side though lol.
Thanks for everyone's help also.
