Question SOHC rods for DOHC?

Hey guys,

So i was searching through the threads and go varied results. In a couple cases i read that if you swap the sohc pistons in the dohc that you need to get the rods from the SOHC as well. Is this the case? 2nd..since the compression will be raised will i need to change any other internals such as springs and retainers? 3rd..if i do have to change the rods, will the sohc rods connect to the dohc crank? i believe it will but i just needed a second on it.

thanks
rocco

i dont think you need the rods and the crank from the sohc to use the pistons. ive heard of people swapping the sohc pistons to the dohc and never heard anybody say you have to use the rodes and the crank. i think the pistons bolt onto the dohc rods.
someone correct me if im wrong.
