Steering Problems

On the freeway my 96 240 wonders easily and seems unstable. Could this be a worn tie rod? It also makes a wierd noise when the car is warmed up and the wheel is turned at a stand still. Help me please.

Thanks

I have been under car looking for any leaks and can't find any, my levels also seem to be fine. Maybe the power sterring motor? But that woulnd't cause instability. I don't know, anyone know?

Alignment , Tires , tension rods going to front (bushings wiped ?) tie rod ends , rack bushings (ones that mount the rack to the body ) gone or worn badly ? ect ect ....

the car also wants to pull right when braking...once I realease the brake its an instant readjustment and the car goes straight again. Something has to be loose, but I can't figure it out.

It sounds like the tension rod bushing on one side is wasted , The black rods that run from your lower control arm(bolt to it with 2 bolts) and run up to the front of the car on a angle , Check the bushings on the front of the rods , Also make sure the bolts are still tight where it attaches to the lower control arm ....

Ok cool, yeah I was told that if they were worn you would visually be able to tell, and I already looked at them and they looked fine but I didn't check for loose bolts, thanks.

Does it make like a weird poping, or creaking sound?? Cause my car does that too. It dosn't pull to one side or another or anything like that. But when say I'm in a parking lot and turning but at really low speed the sound drives me NUTS!!! Do you guys think I could have the same prob?
