SUPER QUICK HELP!! How do i tell if this is the sr20 tranny??
 

I'm going to buy a tranny tomorrow(hopefully) and i want to know how to tell if it actually is a sr20det blacktop tranny?

If it its.....it will bolt right up to my 240, right? are the ratio's the same?

i did not know the sr20 trans would bolt up to a ka...unless you have an sr motor in there... but someone correct me if im wrong... it aint gunna bolt up...

gearboxes are the same, bell housings are different...if my memory serves me correct

wouldn't it be easiest to just swap gearboxes anyways if my tranny is grinding?

you would have to swap bell housings so the sr tranny would bolt up to the ka engine. I hear this is a pain to do. Wouldnt it be easier to just find a junkyard tranny with less miles?

It won't fit...

even if it did, it's no better than buying a KA tranny or getting one from the junkyard.
