On the transmission

To refill your manual transmission, you just put fluid into the filler hole on the transmission itself. You might as well replace the fluid if it's been in there for awhile.

To drain it, run the engine for a moment, jack up the front of the car, and remove the filler plug from the left side of the transmission to create a vent so the oil will drain better. The drain plug is located on the bottom of the transmission- put a pan under it and remove it. The oil will be a little warm but probably not hot enough to burn you.

After it's all drained, replace the drain plug and fill the transmission with fluid through the filler hole. It helps a lot if you buy the fluid that comes in the bottles with the long squirty spout thing. S13s take a little over 5 pints. Fill it up until it's at the bottom of the filler hole- you can feel with your finger. Replace the plug and that's it.
