trying to plan ahead...

i will be getting an S13 in the next couple months and i'm trying to plan what i'm going to do to it. i'm not big on making a KA-T so i'll be swapping. right now i'm debating between the SR and the RB25. i want to be making ~450hp and here's the tough part... streetable. i know that both the SR and RB25 can make that kinda power so i guess it comes down to price and part availability. i'd perfer the SR cuz its alot cheeper then the rb25 and also there are more redily available parts for it.

what do you think would be the best route to take? i'm not made of money like alot of you so price is a factor. also i'll be doing all the work myself on the swap.

thanks for any help and advise.

EDIT: i've been hovering around the board here for a few months now so i'm not totally clueless about the s13 but i'm also not an expert :D

I say go with the RB.

For that kind of power it would be better to go with the RB25, The rb might be more reliable for that type of power.

thanks for the help guys, i thought that most people would say the rb25.

i've read that it can hold huge power on stock internals, is that true and if it is about how much can it hold before rebuilding the block?

..close to 450HP. Thats pushing it.

thanks, i'd definately build the block then before the engine goes into the car.
