turbo timer no power...

hey guys i just recently installed my turbo timer,
but the problem is theres no power..

and another problem is that my head unit is getting no power either...

and my ignition doesnt work... as in when i turn the key to start it doest.. i only hear the relays clicking

this whole no power to the dash happened after i did my sr swap... it was working perfectly fine before..

i checked the dash connectors nd it seems to be fine...

so im wondering what's the issue here?

I am assuming you have no alarm system.

I don't know much but try a different relay. and of coarse check the connections.
try bypassing the relay. at least to try start the car.

1. when you wired up you turbo timer, did you use and quick connector.
2. if you didnt use a quick connection like me, did you test the voltage at the different positions ( ACC and ON)? they raise and drop and if you got the wrong one hooked up the signals will be all messed up.

if you didnt you probably screwed some things ups

if you did an sr swap into your car and right after you dash didnt work.. odds are your car was sohc and or you did the swap with the battery hooked up and blew something and or you didnt wire the body harness connection up.

you dont want to bypass any relay you wanna fix the issue and or you will have a fire for sure.

^^^

quick connector as in the turbo timer harness?
i dont really get what yu mean...

well my dash does work..well here's the things that does...

-cluster except the speedo, it jump up to 10mph when i put the car on the on position and stays there til i turn the car off

-my climate control light comes on

..other then that nuthing works...

my clock would restart once i open the door..

-my old motor was a dohc

during the swap i didnt hook it up to anything til i was sure that i was done nd all wired up already

and yes i agree bypassing doesnt sound too safe to me...

there is a connection for the turbo timer. it allows for plug in play

i didnt use it becuase i am good with electronics and didnt need to waste the 15-20 dollars on it.

I don't know much about this but if the relay is used to contol the ignition wire, Like an alarm's relay,

I was thinking you can bypass the relay just to see if the car will start.

If it does start with the relay bypassed then it has to be the relay or something that controls the relay.

But If it doesn't then its something else.

Just trying to help ok guys.

oh ok i get what yu mean FuriousZ.. thankss

another problem that i have is that when i start the car for under 5 mins and i turn the ignition off, the lights on my dash would still be on...

but longer then 5 mins it'll turn off normally..

what can that be?

What wiring modifications have you completed? If you altered any of your wiring did you solder of use connectors/ taps? Have you checked your fuses? From the sounds of it somtheing maybe grounding out causing a relay or two to be sticking.
