I have one more question to use Royal Purple Oil you can't just switch to it is in it bad for your engine don't you have to flush the engine first to get old oil completely away.

most of us don't drive race cars around here, so the switch should be fine. i went from castrol gtx to syn mobil one.

well just make sure just stick to one kind of oil because switching back and forth between syn and normal can damage gasket and seal

well i'm not a very consistant driver. overall i would say that mobil one stays cleaner and less viscous longer but that is expected of a synthetic

I've always used regular valvoline. In my LS1, I use the factory mobile1 syn. In my drag racing days we used Torco Synthetic 20W50 but I wouldn't use that in your drifter mobiles (too thick for stock clearances).

Seriously, your not going to notice a hp difference with the spendy oil. You just might make you engine last longer at high rpms and high boost levels. I'd be more concerned with proper oil pressure and bearing clearances (if your building a new engine.) My $0.02.

I use castrol synthetic.... seems to work fine for me and its not too expensive.... Also, you pretty much just drain what you can and then pour in the synthetic, by the time you change the oil again you wont have much if any of the non synthetic oil left in your engine
