witch engine should i pick

ok. ima get a 89-92 240 fastback and I want to learn how to drift should i first go auto crossing so i can learn how to handle my car better or just strait practice drifting?

Should i use the ka and learn slow going auto crossing, than trying to drift with the stock ka and learn slow or is it easier learning from the top with the sr?

what size rims should i use 17's or 16's?

for a beginner is it easier to start off with the ka or the sr?

I know stability takes a big part, what should i get to stable my ride?

what shocks should iget?

also i have more questions

whats the diff between single, double, triple clutch's?

whast the lug offset for 98,90,91,92,93 240's?

do u guys know if its possible to get advan rg's with a nice big lip?

I'm gonna say the first thing you should do is get in some quality seat time. Learn about your car, learn about how the car handles. Seat time is the biggest factor. The KA is just fine for drifting, there is no need to swap if you don't want too or don't have the means to.

I agree with s13 240. Seat time and getting to know your car is the best to learn how to drift or autocross. The KA has plenty of power to get you on the track or sideways. 16 or 17 inch wheels are fine. For stability, I would go with a set of coilovers from tein or tanabe. Or you could get a set of eibach sportline sportline springs and kyb agx shocks. Go adjustable if you got the money for it. Good luck:thumb:

Lots of questions...

-As said above, get some proper seat time, get to know your car. Know how its ganna react and etc.
-Use the KA, you dont need a SR to learn how to drift...or anything.
-Keep with stock wheels for now, upgrade when you know your carvery well.
-There are lots of things you can do to make your car more stable, coilovers, a nice spring and shock combo(Whiteline+AGX), Swaybars, tie rods, bushings and etc.
-KYB AGX will be the best shock for ya
-89-94 240sx have 4x114.3, 95-98base model 240sx have 4x114.3 95-98 240sx SE or LE model have 5X114.3

for sure stick with the KA. Plenty of power, great for drifting. As said before, and I agree, getting a suspension upgrade will feel like you have a brand new car. 240's came with a pretty good stock suspension. But NISSAN didnt plan on everybody catching the drift bug. Suspension is the way to go.........

is all this same thing for any other 240 like the 97 and 98 240's?

hitokiri_808 02-04-2004 09:14 PM

like everyone said. seat time will make you better not a new engine.
