Question WTF is this for #2

Ok, here's abother "What is this for" type of question. I was taking off the removable sunroof on my Fastback when I noticed to black flaps. Anyone know what they do/are there for. Cause the lift up towards the rear. Here are a few pics so you know what i'm talking about.

Do they hold the moonroof up or something when putting it back on? And why can't you just tell me now?

Lol, speed brakes. Yeah that whole idea of holding the moonroof up is shot. The moonroof flips up towards the front, while the flap flip up towards the rear.

Hehe, this is a funny post.

Those are wind deflectors. When you remove your sunroof, and drive like that, those help deflect some of the wind up over the top of the car so it doesn't get super windy inside.

I got a kick out of everyone's guesses, though.

yeah but on our cars we get the benefit of the roof sliding all the way INSIDE our roof when we want that open air feel... S13 people (not counting convertibles, duh) have to manually remove the glass and... I dunno... chuck it in the trunk?

air deflector was my guess too but someone already said it

Air deflector, don't you want the wind inside if you take it off?

it's probably more for noise reduction with the roof panel off... here's the pic I told you about from the FSM

Actually, only S13 HB owners have to manually remove the glass.... S13 Coupe sunroof is power, just like your S14...
