So I'm about to buy the greddy e manage for my sr. I'm getting a deal witch is why I've decided on this system. So my question is if anyone on here has any experience with this system. Pro's/Con's? And also I've never tuned an ECU before what would you say the level of difficulty is (1-10) with this system?
Oh the reason i need the e manage is because ill be upgrading my fuel pump injectors turbo and MAF.

never used it but tuning is tuning... no matter what the system is.

you will need

dyno/long road and time with a driver
wideband
dataloging

and read a tuning book if you have not. I just got Power FC and i read the entire manual. with my safc skill and understanding of tuning, I have all the tools are resources to tune my own car.

Its a journey and you only learn by doing.

Yea thats true with anything, and I happen to be one of those car guys that doesnt let anyone else work on my car haha.

I'll buy a book right now to start learning.

good stuff.. the e manage manual will tell you how to calibrate if need be.. everything you need to know is there.

Personally I would go the tuned ecu route, just my .02. The price difference isn't very much and it allows for much more fine tuning. Take this from someone who had ran an emanage for 3 years.

But If I had a tuned ECU I wouldn't be able to fix gremlins as they came along. My motor changes pretty frequently I think i need somthing I can tune myself. Would you recomemend a stand alone over the E manage ?

All ill say to that is... with tuning.. your motor is in your hands so be sure that you take your time with it.

I have AEM EMS... I bought it months ago. Still havent installed it because I am still reading about tuning. sooooooooooooo much to read and understand.

LOL i bought mine long b4 u and mine is still in the box since i cant afford a tuner/ me being scared of effing up my motor and researching....

haha, If I can come up with $400, there is some guy that will dyno tune it for me. That is alot of money since I already spent $1200 to buy it. Think I will just tune it myself....

I have the EMS, The wideband, the computer. Just gotta get my mind focused on learning what AFR I need at the different loads and throttle positions... I also need to find someone to trade injectors with. Mine are too big for my application.

Anyone need some 740cc sidefeed injectors? lol. They are brand new. I want some 550ccs.

hmmmmmmmmmmm I want. lol. I am a visual learner. Reading a book just doesnt do much for me.

Start saving for a professional tuner if you have one near by. I've seen motors blow because someone "thought" they knew how to tune an ECU. $400 for a tune is worth its weight in gold...much cheaper than a new engine.

yea if you really have no experience... standalone is not the place to start bro's.

Yea the AEM was my first choice but I figured a piggy back would be easier not to mention hundreds of dollars cheaper. I have AMS and a slew of other tuners in my area if I can't figure it out I'm fairly confident that I can though.
