Question my engine wont rev past 2000 rpms

when i turn on my engine i try to floor it and it wont rev more than 2000 to 2300 rpms dont know whats wrong

It will be more helpful to know engine and mods to the engine if any.

its stock its got a ka24de just bought it and then i whent to the store today and hit a dip and know i dont have a reverse even though im gona make it a 5 speed i would like to at least back out of my driveway without pushing it.

check the connection to the Mass Air Flow Meter.

nope i took the maf of and that was not the problem even though it made a lil problem in my pocket dam that thing is expensive 320.00 bucks ffkk

before buying anything i always check connections and other stuff.

also you can check resistance and other numbers and stuff on electronic sensors

i have never ever seen one made for a 240 coupe. it would look cool though.

if you take off the maf and try to start the car i believe it will still do the same thing (someone correct me if i am wrong here)
