NEED HELP!! ka24e cylinder head removal
Ive been searching for days on how to remove a ka24e cylinder head.. Can someone tell me a detailed process on how to remove it or where i can find out how to remove it.. Any help is appreciated
Ive searched on: google.com club240.com nissanforumz.com and just about everyother site and i cant find it.. so can you please :help: |
fortunately i'm in the process of putting mine back together. this is very basic so if you need more details just ask.
set cylinder 1 to tdc disconnect all sensors, injectors, ignition coil,belts...... remove intake and exhaust manifolds remove valve cover loosen & remove rocker arm bolts as stated in the fsm loosen and remove head bolts as stated in fsm. it's a good idea to have some scotch tape and a pen handy so you can label the plugs, wires, and vacuum lines that you'll need to remove so you know where they go. i didn't but i think i still remember where everything belongs. |
Well i dont got alot of car knoledge so how do u set cylinder 1 to tdc and how do you know its there??
Did you buy a new head?? and if you did where at?? Thanks for your help.. |
only on step 1 and we've already ran into problems i see.
you can cheat and not set the #1 cylinder IF you make sure that the crank, cam, and distributer are not moved at all during or after the process of removing the head. whoever i'd advise against that if your knowledge it limited you'd be better off having someone help. but if you're up to it knock yourself out http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us...rInfoPages.htm read and enjoy. |
Thanks for the help.. i appreciate it.. Did you buy the new cylinder head??
|
not if it's not warped, or damaged. it can be machined if it's not warped too bad.
