s13 short ram intake

at the request of some here i've put together this write up.
there are a number of ways to go about this but this was the most appropriate for me.

1.intake piping and filter
the piping was bought of of ebay. it is for a "92 240sx. the reason i bought this piping is because it has the same size fittings for the vacuum lines and the correct bends. you'll need to cut the pipe but first cut it a bite longer than needed and test fit it. don't get rid of the left over pipe because it can be added latter as a cai extension.

2. relocate battery.
this is simple enough to do and because there is already a write up on the matter i'll say no more about it.

3.maf & iat sensor plugs.
you'll notice that the wire for the are two sensors comes from the left side of the engine bay but they are tapped along with other wires.
remove the tape and re tape the wires so they can reach the new location of the maf and iat sensors.

4.aiv
if you plan on doing away with the air injection valve skip this part. if not you'll need a 1/2" tee that can be bough at any hardware store for about $.50 it will be placed on the large fitting on the intake pipe and leave a place for the crank case and for the air injection valve.

5. finishing touches
just tighten everything correctly and plug everything in and you're goof to go.

as always if something is unclear let me know so i can do my best to simplify the proses. :thumb:
