200sx sr20de

I was just wondering if i could take the head off a 200sx with a sr20de on it and put it on my 240sx. if so would it be the same as a j-spec sr20de??? Does anyone know the power numbers of a us-spec sr20de and is this motor as turbo frendly as the j-spec???

You wanna put it on a KA??? How bout noooo. And the US SR head wont fit on a JDM SR anyways(to my knowledge at least)

Had the 200 before my S14, so here's my input:

200SX SR20DE hp is 140 (flywheel) on the 95... there was no CA 96, but if I remember correctly the 96-98 had lower power output. In fact, the "classic" 90-94 Sentra SE-R's had the low port intake and more power than the later years. I forgot the torque number (132 maybe?) but it pulled pretty hard on my car.

The motor itself is turbo friendly; I've seen many turbo SR20DE's (FWD) in my time with my 200SX, and they were all in good shape. One of the main things missing though from a US SR20DE and the Japanese SR20DET (other than the turbo parts) was that the US spec SR's didn't have piston coolers in the block or something.

As for head swapping, from what I know you can't - the US spec SR only came here in FWD version, and some stuff waas tailored for an FF chassis. At least, that's what I was told when I asked the same question in 98 when I wanted to try a "JDM" sr conversion (like how the Honda kids would put Type-R parts on their GS-R's).
