Alternator Upgrade

Is there any other alternator i can get from another nissan that will bolt up and put out more power than the stock alt?

Can anyone tell me how much the stock puts out as well?

Its time to put some electric fans in place for the summer, see how she runs.

Thanks in advance. TJ

the fans dont need an upgraded alternator... but if you want one with higher output... you can get one from an altima... i dont know what year it was but if you were to go to the parts store and look at the altima alternators you will find one that matches up pretty close...make sure it has the same connections is the most important...
or you could search for ohio genertors... or look for stinger alternators...
but like i said electric fans wont tax the charging system...

WIth my stereo system I believe I am pushing the current charging system to its limits. I am drawing at least another 60A's between my two amplifiers. I was thinking running dual 10" fans. But most of the sites have single 10-14" conversions.

That one guy said the taurus fan from the 3.8s is pretty good, might go try to grab one from the wrecker this weekend.

i have been in several threads about the sho fans... yes they work and cool very well... it is worth the trip to the junk yard...

one other quick q, i have an electric a/c fan behind the mechanical fan, do people usually replace both of the fans? or would i need a dual setup?

remove the ac fan and wire up the new fan to the wires that are there... i have posted a few replys to doing just this... the ac fan also works when the motor gets hot... it will work even if you dont have your ac on... that is how i have the altima fan wired up in my car... not to mention keeping it looking stock and easier than installing a good temp switch...

yep altima dual fan is the best thing i also got some extra altima plugs when i visited the junk yard so i was able to do all connections using original plugs and wireharness now I have dual speed when needed and it cools better than the 12"dual fan i had with a thermo switch controller.

But Altima fans setup with audion a/c rear defog and high beans at night on the road will drain ur battery and I also need an upgraded alternator lost 2 batteries already for doing that. But car runs better and acelerates better without parasited engine driven fan.
