dc or greddy header?
dc or greddy header?
i've posted something similar to this. but i didnt get answers i wanted. but anyways why dont they make headers for 96-98 240s'. i just bought a hotshot but i realy want somethin that is carb legal. thanks.
Put your Hotshot on and Drive it. Than put your Stock Header back on with a 3in SR20 Downpipe. When you drive it and realize you can't feel the difference you can sell your Hotshot, Be Carb Legal, Have Power Gains, and have Money left over.

your saying that there are no headers for the KA "free up" any power or torque and is this your theory, butt dyno conclusion or dyno conclusion.

I have absolutely no Dyno Graphs to prove what I'm saying, But the point I'm trying to make is that for those on a Budget, Have to stay Carb Legal or just trying to make as many Modifications before the Track Season starts is there are Ponies to be had for a relatively small amount of Money. Of course full Exhaust Manifolds are optimal but Stock Downpipes are laying all over the place. Not to get off topic but I don't believe in talking theory I'm just telling the Forum about something that may help others just starting out. Hell I've been on this Forum for a while and have Posted more this week than in the last Two Years.
I don't know how an SR down pipe would work with out cutting and welding it first. The Flange types are completely different.
The KA's utilizes a 2-1 design from the flange, while the sr's just utilizes one single pipe as the down pipe. That and the stock sr down pipe only comes in 2", not 3".

oh wow. i've finaly got it on. it sounds a whole lot better and dont forget to mension the power diff. very impressed. thanks alot fellas. i think im just goin to keep the hotshot til i smogg again in 2yrs. thn i'll try to sell it and buy a dc or somethin. cause dam it was hella hard sqeezing this thing through the steering column. dam.
Speaking of Talking in Theory. First take a look at the Picture. That is a S14 Greddy Header with factory Pre Cat. The Pipe on the bottom is Stock SR20 Downpipe.

I never said that the Stock SR20 Downpipe is 3 in., but you can get one. I'm not trying to start any Drama but you come on here and say the Flanges don't line up blah, blah, blah and once again you are wrong. So you can take all that DisInformation that you spout and take it somewhere else. You're always talking your Port Velocity, and Thermal Conductivity B.S. but some of us know what youre really about. I'm sure there are a couple of Guys reading this that can try this for themselves and let them Chime In and tell everyone whats up! No Hard Feelings.
