Emissions Control

Hey guys im back with another question. My question is, on the 89 240sx there is some emmissions stuff located on the driver side of the engine bay, next to exhaust manifold. Can i eliminate this stuff and have no probs with the car? (like check engine light?) I dont care about inspections cus imma juss buy the inspection sticker

Thanx in advance for any help

BTW did anyone ever do this to their's?

the big ole box that you see is a pair valve... you can remove it and plug the hole in the manifold... remove everything that is there and plug the vaccum line that goes to it... then you have to plug the hole in the exhaust... i welded mine closed on my header... and i was done...
the second tube that comes off of the manifold and goes to behind the intake manifold is the egr valve i took that off too... no cel or anything on my car...

Since we are on the topic of removal,

I noticed on the throttle rotor there are two cables....one leading to the firewall and the other going to what looks like a pump .....is this the cruise control and if so can I just remove it and its components and will the car still function properly??
