Glow Gauges

Im installing some glow gauges on my 240 and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the needles off the instrument panel, and where can I get power and a ground for the gauges?

I managed to trace down the leads to the head light on/off switch on the column. I spliced into the switched lead there, so that the indiglo's turn on when the headlights do.

If the needles aren't working right (they respond slow or don't move at all) then you damaged the gauge. Even stock gauges have some sensitivity to them, and pulling the metal shaft out with the needle itself is wrong wrong wrong! The right way is to get the needle off while leaving the shaft in place. That way you can recalibrate the needle when you put it back on.

Yes it can, I've seen a few people who tried to swap gauge faces and when they pulled the needle the needle came off... with the shaft part still attached to the needle. These were on Honda clusters, but I've done it a couple times myself on Nissan ones too.
