well most engines have their weaknesses the SR isnt perfect its weakness is the head either floating valves or rocker arms flying out and blowing the motor but its and easy fix get better aftermarket valve springs and rocker arm stoppers.

even honda engines have their weakness... lack of torque, transmissions cant handle any kind of power and they are fwd see

^^HAHAHAH however the engines are damn reliable hhahaahhah.

hmmmm Sting you should do that FR H22 swap that was hot on the streets a few years back hahahhaah.

PS

I have witnessed countless amounts of blown SR's state side and MANY MANY MANY more while here in Japan.

you race it and there's a possibility it will blow lol.

Not really . . . .but I think an engine swap (or replacement with a reinforced KA that WON'T blow up in my face) will make me feel a lot better.

You guys know me, I won't hesitate on this and . . .I've been thinking, I've got some new toys, so I'll make a video log of my progress . . .

Par for the course, DAdamsDrift.com, LOL!

Absolutely, times have been a bit tough lately, but I guess that shouldn't have been an excuse. Daily driving your race car is a bad idea. Even if you take good care of it, it's still a bad idea. You're either going to blow up your race car or blow up your ride to work.

I feel you on that, I don't live that far from my job, about 5 miles, so I'll probably start biking.

I tried to baby it on the way home . . .she threw a connecting rod through the side of the block. That's almost laughable.

Video to come . . .

I should really go with an SR or RB . . .if I go with D1SL, I'm going to have to go SR or CA . . .whichever engine I get, it won't be as bad as a KA . . .maybe I'll just get another car altogether . . .won't be the first time I sold a car because something broke on it.

Hey I resent that!!!
KA's are garbage engines for people that redline past 7600 RPM!!! The head is more superior than the sr.

If you want a platform that is indestructable you will want an RB or a VQ platform.

RB uses the bucket style head from KA
RB also uses a shorter rod stroke ratio than the sr for ultra high rev.
For the price the RB25neo is the best investment

VQ's ar more effecient but for natural aspiration they are simply just to expensive unless of course you get a remanufactured 2003, or 2004 engine that hade ring and bearing issues with burnign oil.
