Help...Whistling

Alright Guys this is a hard one, For some reason my car is whistling when its accelerating. It whistles louder, the higher my RPMs the louder it gets. It is a very annoying sound, and I cant figure it out. I let my mechanic drive the car, and he said that it was the transmission whining, and that he really didnt hear anything (I dont think he got the RPMs up to where you can really hear it. The whistling is always there, but you can hear it alot more at higher RPMs. I was on my cell with my GF while she was driving behind me, and she told me that she couldnt hear my car, just a whistling (so, its a fairly loud sound  ). It is VERY annoying and I really dont see anything normal about a car whistling.:dunno:

maybe someone put an exhaust whistle on your car.

you shove it in the exhaust and when your exhaust gets faster(higher rpm's) it gets louder.

its probably a long shot but hey just my 2 cents

hmm maybe you have a hole somewhere in your intake piping..making the whistle sound. or a loose hose on the intake piping? not sure. check it out

Alright,
Just to let everyone know, the problem has been found, its actually a small hole in the exhaust. The funny part is that it sounds like a turbo is spooling up. Its actually kinda funny after they showed me what a turbo spooling sounded like. But anyway, Im not going to be Rice like that and let ppl think I have a turbo, Im going to replace the exhaust, I wanted to do it anyway, but now I have a reason.
