Jim Wolf Cam Shafts and Cam Gears
hey guys!
New to the forum...... has any one had any experience with the Jim Wolf cam shafts and cam gears? Are they worth the money? I'm hoping to keep the car N/A and thought this would be a nice upgrade..... Any info or feedback would be great, Thanks, -Rod |
if you're staying N/A then those parts are a good place to start
|
the JWT camshafts are really nice. my car pulls all the way to redline now rather than bogging at the upper end. you do lose a little on the lower end but that is all good, just rev higher. but the timing gears i have no clue. i personally wouldn't touch them.
btw the cam shafts generally net around 10-15rwhp. |
GREAT...... Thanks guys.... I'm going to give them a shot... I don't have the money right now to boost the way I would like to, so I'll keep the N/A interesting.
Thanks Again! |
does anyone know of some cheaper competible cams for the twin cam
|
wow those cams are fricken expensive...i might as well just save up for a s14 sr...
|
The only thing about the adjustable cam sprokets is that it'd be a pain to tune them. youd have to open up the valve cover each time youd want to do an adjustment.
|
there are the PDM cams but those are your cams regrounded. i would highly not recommend those. a guy in Az had they and he had terrible times trying to get the idle right. i would go with the JWT. and they are not the same price as a SR.

Corection, the SOHC cams are regrinds, the DOHC ones arent.,
|
PDM's are still a **** load of money!!!!! I want something close to 300 range
|
Good luck.
