Okay all you dohc people out there... can you tell me which cam is intake and which is exhaust on a 93 dohc???? One has a 1 on it the other a 2... they got mixed up when i was putting all the parts away...

i have an answer...
thanks to bigvinnie and jim wolf tech...

the cam marked with a 1 is intake... also can be identified with a green stripe... or with an I in it... center of the cam cant miss it..
the cam marked 2 is exhaust...also identified with a red stripe...or an E in it... center of the cam cant miss this one either...

the other way to check them is...91 to 94 cams only(that i know of) the center dowel pin on the intake cam will line up with the first cam lobe...the exhaust will be ofset to the right at about the 2 o'clock position...

u can also tell by wich side the cam is on...like the cam facin the exhaust is the exhaust cam and the cam facin the intake is the intake cam

You mean through the lobe and duration. I know what yur sayin' ;)

im glad you understand him vinnie cus i dont...i am assuming he means when they are in the motor... i know which one is which...pull em outta the motor switch em around and then tell me what ya got... that was where i was comming from... and on a side note... you can take the exhaust cam and the intake cam and switch them with adjustable cam gears... dunno why you would want to do that unless you were using 2 exhaust cams in the same moter for higher lift and duration... somewhere along the line i heard about them using 91 exhaust cams (2) of them in the same motor...i have been talking a lot to the jim wolfe people and im going to use their cams with their ecu and cobra mafs... as a starting point... if i ever get the money then i will go stand alone... but to get me running im going to start with jwt...
one other thing... i have been looking at the itb set ups and im going to this motor cycle grave yard to look at a set of gsxr tb's that i can get for way cheap... possible??? im thinkin so... that is for next winter tho... by then i should have enough money for the itb and the stand alone...and aem might come down a little??? (doubt it)...

oic i thot u ment in the motor...my fault...didnt occur to me that they were out...o ya...i heard if u take the exaust cam from a 96 maxima...it'll fit a 240 an ad on 15 horse to the wheels.....u hear n e thing bout this?

Actually if you keep your stock exhust cam and only add the performance intake cam you will get alot of torque. Cam sprocket gears are usually used when you are highly advancing your timing......

o..so that theory doesnt work???

The Maxima is on the VG and VQ platforms they are not at all compatible with the KA24de. But if you were refering to the Altima you can infact interchange cams...........

i heard altima or maxima.....it was one of those
