my coil want throw a spark.
 

i have a 1992 240sx and just rebuilt the engine and dropped it back in. it turns over fine but im not getting any spark. i got power running to the coil and even power running out of the coil wire but it just want throw a spark. can someone please help me out.

you should check primary and secondary resistance, if they are not within spec get a new coil.

but i'm curious how you know you have power coming from the coil. if it's what i'm thinking then i suspect it's that distributor or something related that id faulty.

well i got a new coil yesterday because i thought my other one was bad. but this one did the same thing. i know there is power running out of the coil because i checked it with a test light. could it be something wrong with my ecu.

how would you check primary and secondary resistence.
