the old intake debate..

Ok so I need to order an intake.. while my car was setting on a lot after the wreck.. mine got stolen after the insurance company idiot left the hood open... but they didnt take my yellowtop.. idiots.
I had an injen intake.. really liked it.
But at 180 bucks on ebay.. i hesitate.
AEM intakes also sell on ebay for around 120 bucks.. and the cheap ebay intakes for like.. 30..
Is there really that much difference between the AEM and the Injen units?
Opinions please.

no... not really as far as I know. I'm not even running an intake on my car... I should probably get around to it sometime. I like the Apex'I one though 'cuz it's so short and close to the intake manifold...

I prefer the AEM and they offer it in 3 colors, RED, Blue or Chrome, and it comes with the CARB E.O smog stickers. After shipping it was $150, on ebay through ebay seller Devilz....

I would get an AEM. I know a guy who has AEMs on his 2 Eclipses and they are an excellent product.

I got a ebay shortram, I just looked through the thread about the cai (waynes), and I realize its a real cold air intake, but I always wondered since it runs across the top of the radiator, wont the pipe just get hot and make the air hot again anyways? I wondered about that but since I put on electric fans I dont have the fan shroud to run the pipe across, just curious if anyone else might have thought about it like that (I'm sure someone has) but yea I have no problem with my ebay short ram dont have no dyno #s or before and after comparison cause ever since I got the engine installed I've had the intake on. but I'd like to invest in a aem or the one that you relocate the battery and it runs down in the passenger side fender but I dont know who makes that or where to get it though.

no1 makes one that goes to your battery.. what you can do is make your own out of pvc pipe or go to a muffler shop and have them bend you a series of 3" pipes

Or you could use the injen cold-air extension pipe....

Which gives better hp increase and such..I have an AEM SRI on my 2002 v6 accord and it is loud and according to other accord owners it gets same amount of hp increase....most ppl think i have an exhaust, but i do not know what it will sound like on the 240 bc im new to them and it is a 4 banger..any help appreciated..thanx

Does anyone have an AEM SRI for their KA24E? Or do they not make them for the SOHC's?
