relocating battery in S14?

I'm posting this to see if anyone here has relocated their battery to the driver's side engine bay on the S14 body. Reason is because I wanted to do a shorter intake, and NOT relocate the battery to the trunk.

There is a canister that's in the way on the driver's side where the stock intake was , i think it's part of the EGR system (maybe it's the activated carbon canister).

anyone anyone?
thanks!

someone's done that already - there's a thread on it too here somewhere... and yes, they moved the battery to the left side

i found http://www.**********/links/installs/...take/index.htm which was posted earlier ... but i guess they didn't have the same problems... or they have a smaller batter by about 3 or 4 inches which i don't think is the case

you know, it does look kinda smaller than my battery too, but I've tried putting my battery on the left (just to see if it would fit while installing my intake) and it does fit if you remove all the plastic crap...

...is it me or in the last pic he has no fender?

i don't know if your car has the canister i'm talking about , it's in that open area, next to the radiator. maybe it's some emissions thing that californians don't have?

in the first pics it looks like there are no fenders....

No I know what youre talking about - it's a soda-can sized black canister with hoses running off the top?

If that's it I have it
