Removing Crankshaft pully

im disecting my motor, and im stuck on how to get the crank pully off. my dad told me that it is probobly on a spline and that i would need to get a puller to get it off. is this true, or should i just pry the **** out of it? just checking before i break anything.

just get a puller for it, the crankshaft pulley is attached to the crankshaft, and too much prying on that probly isnt a good idea, pulley pullers arent expensive and you can borrow them from autozone, and it makes the job really easy.
