Question same fluid for trans. and diff.?

Can I use the same 75W-90 fluid as in the transmission for the differential, or do i have to use 80W-90 like the book says?
Thanks

I have 80/90 in my tranny right now, and its rocking fine.

so if you are using 80/90 in the differential, then I guess it would be the same. if you have an LSD there is 'special' oil for it thats designed to groove with the clutch packs and such.
