Show Your Dyno
1 Attachment(s)
This thread is started to show HP improvements of the NA KA which most people find to lack as an overall performance engine. So I started this thread for people to understand what they can do to there NA KA. Please do not ruin this thread full of side comments just post your dyno, and mods, you may leave posts to help make improvements for fellow members of S-Chassis.com.
Heres mine to start. Attachment 18507 Stock head, 240/248 cams, SCV's,Stock bottom end, Castrol GTX 10w-40,iridium spark plugs NGK, stock timing (20BTDC @ distributor), SAFC2, AEM intake,DC sports header, 2.5" exhaust, CATCO high flow, FAL electric fans and thermostatic switch, N60 MAF, fidanza aluminum flywheel, cheap $8 Paper intake filter (ebay), 95 Octane home brew (made of toulene and xylene, with 91octane pump gas) |

Do a compression test Check your plugs Check your A/F ratio as well. Lets see what we can do to pick these numbers up!!! |
Its the Stock Exhaust. There is a reason KA's gain 10whp peak and over 15whp at redline with an Exhaust. It was also done on a DD dyno, which is one of the lowest reading dyno's.
A/F was about 12.5 across the board if I remember. JWT only does one tune, so adding cams, and Exhaust, the car will more than likely lean out, and hopefully make more power. BTW, I heard you were looking at PDM's tri-flow, but they only make those for SOHC motors. I went to ColtCams website, and looked myself. |

If you would like to send me a altima intake ,mani I can extrude one for you or you can do it yourself. I'm alkso under the assumption that the manifold runners are short, and small diameters. |
I"ll take Pictues and show you how everything looks on the car.

4-2-1 is avilable. Trust me when I say its the stock exhaust. I also Dynoed on a Dyno Dynamics dyno, they do read lower than a dynojet.
|
same header header, same pulley, SRI Intake, Exhaust, Manual, and clutch/Flywheel.
This is an altima: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...74_57_full.jpg Guy with the same mods, minus the Ecu and pulley. Automatic http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r.../dark_dyno.jpg JWT ecu offers big gains.. |
Well I dont have a scaner.
I dyno'd in Oklahoma City at a shop called Abel. I put down 164rwhp, and 175 torque. With the Air fuel falling off the charts! (untuned) My mods are Short Ram intake, 50shot of nitrous, 3in cat back exhaust, no a/c, no emoisons, 248/248 cams, ngk plugs, electric fan, test pipe and blaster msd coil. Stuff in the mail... Header walbro fuel pump safc I 75 shot nitrous pills sr injectors (not in the mail but soon) AND GETTING TUNED!!! OMG haha. We are aiming for 220rwhp on a 75. Which with a 75 in I would run 190rwhp..220 does not seem to hard. Considering I need alot more bolt ons...cant wait to get them on! :p |

Sounds like a nice little set-up :)
