Throttle Body Upgrades

Heya people got a new question to bug you with!

Back in my V8 days one of the first things people did to add some spice to their cars was to replace the throttle body with a larger unit to improve the breathing. Now I understand this concept for let's say some astmatic excessively constricted CARB approved american V8 that has twice the sucking power of a 4 cyl.

But is it worth getting something larger for the 240 while still in N/A guise?

If the mod is worth it I hear the Q45's throttle is fantastic as it is huge (used in Skyline GTR's for high HP numbers) and should be a direct fit what do you suggest?

As usual thanks a lot.

The 90mm is a bit overkill for a semi stock 24e. The 69mm is plenty for most.

Hmm overkill huh? that would mean actually delayed response right? especially since I have no fuel upgrades.

What out there is 69mm that fits the 240?

The stock ECU cant really process that much air so it would be a waste. I talked with a very reputible vendor about it.

69mm is the stock size of a KA.

Your a V8 guy. Think of it like this in terms of size. A STOCK L98 throttle body( 84-89) has a 52mm throttle body( 2 26mm butterflies) & that is more than enough to support a few mods on that car.

Cool thanks for the tip!

But i thought the stock size of the KA's is 60mm isn't that why people with a 300ZX upgrade to 240's because theirs is smaller 52mm I believe?

If that's the case who makes a 69mm for the 240?

Thanks again.
