Timing

I recently did the timing on my KA24E and it was at 10 degrees advanced timing from TDC. I got it to 0 degrees, but having that timing would result in a loss in horsepower right?

Ahhh! My car now has a rattle noise when I accelarate. Would this be a result of the timing (engine knock) or is it the timing chain thats loose?

For the first guy yes slowing your timeing down will make you lose horsepower. So if you dont mind losing some hp, then go ahead and decrease it. But if you want more power you could increase it a little more and run 91 octane.

And for the second guy you might try running octane booster or just higher octane gas; or try adjusting your timeing down a little.
