Timing chain!!!!

My timing chain is loose on one side and tight on the other, I am posting this in two threads because I need an answer quick! Is this normal or not?!

Here are 2 pics and a vid:

that is not normal... that is the tension side of your chain and it should be tight... that chain will wear a hole in your timing chain cover quick... it looks like the guide on that side of the motor is gone... there should be a plastic covered metal piece there that i do not see... i wouls suggest getting a new set of timing chain guides and tensioners as well as a new chain and replace them all... there should never be that much slack in a timing chain... if the motor stopped running then i would suggest that you check your valves incase the timing jumped and a piston hit the valves and bent one or more...

How much do those cost?

i bought the new right hand guide from an auto parts store for 23 bucks the left side for 55 bucks and i dont remember how muvh the timing chain set was... you can find them online pretty cheap sometimes... but i dont have a price for the sohc motor...
