timing chain.....advice
i got a 240sx 91..ka24...looks like the timing chain have to be replace....is it a lot of work to replace it...my neightbor said around $450....w/o parts.
A mechanic told me around $475 labor...is this too much...is it around the average???? advice please thanks |

OK it has ******** in there for the URL just change it to "nic0club" but the 0 is an O (It stars it out for some reason)

not really anything wrong with them. i enjoyed mine, it's just that i dropped about $1,000 in mine just to get it running again and it crapped out after 2,000 miles. took the head and block to get them checked for cracks and none showed...then the bottom end dropped out. yeah, they are a good engine, but i personally wouldn't spend money on one again. i could have came close to a swap for what i spent to blow mine again (and no, i didn't beat on it. didn't go over 3k before shifting)

my thoughts exactly...but like i said, i'm not trying to diss the ka. i've seen some pretty sweet setups. just imo, not the best, most cost efficient choice.
