I Need all Ka24e Owners Input!!

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and have found it to be extremely helpful and detailed. That said, I am wondering if we could get an idea of who would be interested in Outlaw Engineering producing intake and throttle body cooling spacers for our KA24E and DE engines. Currently they are making it for the SR20 folks. Here is Outlaw Engineerings website so you can check them out. www.outlawengineering.com

I spoke with Shawn at Outlaw Engineering and he gave me some fun facts to share regarding the cooling spacers. To make it financially worthwhile for the company there needs to be at least 20 people interested in purchasing the product.

What we will get: the spacers will give us a gain of about 3-5% in overall HP. For a stock KA24e that would be between 4 and 7 hp. Shawn said it will cost us less then $100 dollars. Not a bad increase for the money, as well as the added benefits of a cooler running engine. Please let me know what you guys think!

Dyno sheets to back up the product? I'm hard pressed to drop $100 for 4HP. Convince & i'm game for them.
I have used them before but in order for them to be any good they need to be thick.
I'm about to put on my new manifold & TB anyway. So more info soon would be wonderful.

Will they fit on an Altima KA24DE as well?

If you guys want dyno tests, go to the link I provided in the first post and click on the "tech" link. It will explain in detail and show you a dyno sheet.

As far as whether the spacers will fit on a Ka24de as well? That is a question for someone who knows both the "de" and "e" engines. I just baught my 240 so am in a steep learning curve. I'll post as soon as I find the answer.

The issue that I'm concerned about, in regards to the KA24DE, is that the fitment will be good on an Altima, which is front-wheel drive, and uses a different intake manifold than the 240 DE. I believe it's already been stated that it will fit on a 240sx DE.
