need some advice

i just got a 91 hatch back, its got 286,000 miles on it. do you think i should get a new motor for it or rebuild this one?

Hi and congradulations! If you are planning on swaping motors then you have a lots to choose from like the popular SR20DET, RB20 / RB25, and/or do a KA-T (rebuilt). There are other choices but those are the most popular. Like me I have less then 80k miles on my SOHC and swaping a RB20 into it for more power and more fun. :) Make a choice and you wont regret it. RB20 is the cheapest way to go with turbo.

Do you want to get a new motor because of the milegae, or what? Or are going going to swap it out. This engine thing has been argued to hell and back. Do some research on here. There is a lot of older posts about this topic. Good luck on your project.

Well, if your just using it for a regular car, you should be fine.
But if you want performance, I personally, would do an Rb20det swap.

Its awesome :-)
OR, you could find a used low-mile Ka24de and turbo it.
