I want to get an idea as to where everyone would like to have the next meet. So lets take a vote....

 

Well, before I vote, I have to say that there are about 5 or 6 central Jersey/Rutgers University owners that would like to meet up. Organization for that one is also in the process at the moment. I don't know if they want to drive all the way up to the Island or Queens, but I will propose it to them. I think we're currently planning to meet somewhere on Rutgers Campus. Maybe we can meet in the middle somewhere in northern NJ.

 

Jacob Riis has massive amount s of parking, BBQing, and the beach.

Belmont, has great BBQing/picknicking areas, good parking, basketball courts, baseball courts, rowboat/paddleboat rentals.

Sorry but I can't remember the name of the park off the Pallisades, but it had good parking, no BBQ's no real recreation really, except maybe fishing if your into that. They did have picknick tables though.

And of course, "other". If you have another place in mind let me know. The poll will only be up for 10 days so don't forget to vote!!

 

I hope things work out because on numerous occasions we've had ppl say they were gonna head out and never show. I'll make the trip to Jersey, but I want to make sure everyone will attend. The lst time a Jersey meet was set up the owners from on LI came out, but no one else really showed. If we do this, we need to have eachothers cell #'s just in case someone gets held up in traffic or something, the other party doesn't think we forgot or decided not to show, because I can garauntee that if theres a meet, us LI 240 owners will show up.

I had proposed out on the Island only because I know we could prolly go to the drag strip and run our cars then head over to the park for a BBQ. But in fairness to you fellow Jersey owners, I have voted for the Pallisades location, so everyone can make it.

 

How do you get to the Pallisades location. What town is it in? Pallisades Park?

Thats the thing rb, I asked a couple of ppl who went to that park along with myself for a meet back in June. We all couldn't remember the name of the place. It is however, Exit 1C off of the Pallisades Parkway, I know that for sure. I'll punch it into Mapquest and see if I can figure out the name. But it was a pretty nice place, with a great view of the Hudson, and the Bronx.

It had enough room for a good number of cars, prolly about 100. We would need to bring a BBQ or Hibachi to grill our own food. Also, the entrance offered a great twisting and winding road to roll down, as the park is at sea level and the parkway and neighborhood that surrounds the park is about 150ft up.
I think that would be a good local for the meet, considering where everyone is coming from. What do you think?

BTW I think we should invite the SR20 boys down to the meet when we setup a spot. They cool to hang with and this way we can get a nice crowd.

 

This is the directions and place of the park in NJ

Allison Park Englewood Cliffs NJ. (On the water facing the city)

Directions are:
From Palisades Interstate Parkway (North or Southbound): Take Exit 1, Palisade Ave. Turn left. Enter Park and follow road down to river.

If coming from NY just cross GW bridge and follow signs for Palisades Parkway North. follow above.

 

sounds good.... i just wanna meet and have a bbq... last one was great.... and sure, u should invite the sr boys.... they mad chill.... if they show ... then they do... if they dont... they dont.... well have a good time regardless..... ill bring the spicey mustard, ketchup,and some soda

 

I voted NJ because I would like the NJ heads to show up.

I am being pulled two ways here.

If we have it at Riis park I know the turnout will be big. There will be at least 60 cars. Thing is 10 of them will be 240s. The SR heads will all go there.

NJ is nice because I would like to make it easy on the NJ guys but I know that the turnout will be small if it is a 240sx only meet.

This should be billed as a "Nissan" meet. I will try and post to all of the sites I am a member of. I think we should just end up where the most people will show.

I don't think it will be too bad for the NJ heads to travel into the city. I know as I might be having to do the same thing soon.

 

Thats it!! Thank god somebody remembered the name of the place.....lol Yea its Allison Park in Englewood CLiffs, NJ. Its a nice spot, and its right in between everyone. The Jersey ppl have another thread goin so i'll fill them in now.....Laterz

I'm ****-faced right now and don't know exactly what you mean Stan......Hahahhaa. Sorry, but I have posted where Alllison Park is and the directions on how to get there on all the 240 sites.....club240, Zilvia and the NICO site. Hopefully ppl will have an idea as to where to go.
