Smaller displacement doesn't necessarly mean "downgrading" , especially when it comes to Subaru Tecnica.

Not always, but in this case it does. The 2.5 has a much better torque curve. Should also have higher potential since the engine designs are similar, the 2.5 just has a crap load more bore.

I heard that although it produces a lot of torque over a very narrow band, the torque curve is horrible and totally drops off after it peaks. And the larger bore just causes detonation if you add mods.

The 2.0 lovers are saying that Subaru punked out.

Skip the first 1.5 minutes, theyre worthless. Music gets pretty annoying, and they need to work on their sound levels a LOT, but good vid overall.

Btw he probably has 20Lturbo as his plate in order to fool people into thinking its just a wrx.

And What IS funny. The EVO tested by C&D and Road&Track, side by side with the STI sat next to and kicked the STI butt..

wow..the evo VS STI one i read and saw was that the STI is a LIL faster then the evo, and the evo handles better then the STI. So they are basically neck and neck.:p
