Its all on the angle that your seeing it. I can "fool" people like that also, but not as good as him

TheDumpTYPE-R 07-15-2004 10:39 PM

yea dude!

l3ooherS14 07-15-2004 10:46 PM

I know the little angle trick because i can do it too, but when they showed him do it, he was about a foot off the ground.

TheDumpTYPE-R 07-15-2004 11:08 PM

eh?some kid at my school did that a couple times

l3ooherS14 07-15-2004 11:11 PM

I think it was fake. But i do like the angle trick.

NcTwOfOuRtY 07-19-2004 09:49 PM

that was fake incase you didnt notice, they shown the peoples reactions in a different frame from the actual stunt, so he basically did the little angle trick for the people, they filmed the gullible whitnesses expressions then came back when they where gone, tied up some wires and nonsense pulled him off the ground and videotaped him "levitating" then cut to the peoples reaction from the angle trick that they filmed earlier. simple. so it gives the affect that the people seen him go like 3 feet off the ground but really all they seen was when he barely came off the ground. i dont know if it makes sense but it wasnt real that guy is mad fake he got skills i couldnt pull nothin off he does but on tv they can cut things out and you can only see what the camera is pointed at not whats goin on around.

TheDumpTYPE-R 07-19-2004 10:11 PM

see i told ya dude!

l3ooherS14 07-20-2004 07:24 AM

But when the asked the women how high off the ground he was, said, " about a foot or so" and jesturede with their hands the length?

NcTwOfOuRtY 07-21-2004 12:08 PM

they where paid off or exaggerating i'd say. i know if i didnt know no better and seen some crazy mofo lift off the ground 5 inches i'd eaxaggerate when i told the story and be like man this guy got like 10 feet off the groundd!! i know people do that everyone exaggerates about stuff like that but i dont know that was just my reasoning for how it would be possible but you never know but i aint buying it.

l3ooherS14 07-21-2004 12:26 PM

Say, you ever seen that South Park with David Blanin?

i disagree with your opinion

l3ooherS14 07-23-2004 03:34 PM

Then how was it performed?

anubis 07-25-2004 08:35 AM

im going to break it down for you.

he gathers a little crowd of about 7-10 people. one of the people is his own. he then turns his back to the crowd. he stands with his toes angled and heels together a certain way.

he's also wearing long pants so you can see his calf muscle straining.

so then he stands up on one foot tippy-toed. and the way he angled his feet and placed his heels, it gives the illusion that he just raised himself a couple of inches off the ground.

while doing the illusion, the camera records the reactions of the crowd, but the main focus is his person. the actor is then interviewed by the crew and he says something like "it was really amazing, i dont understand how he can lift himself 2 feet off the ground"

once they have their crowd footage, blain is recorded doing the trick with the help of wires or crane to lift himself a few feet into the air.

all in all when the footage is played to television viewers, what you see is...

blain floating two feet in the air. crowd oohing and aahing. the overly excited pedestrian. blain returning to the ground.

but he shure is one hell of a sleight of hand guy

l3ooherS14 07-25-2004 09:25 AM

Thats mostly what me and my dad came to the conclusion.

anubis 07-26-2004 05:57 AM

it was broken down on that FOX special Magicians Revealed or something like that

l3ooherS14 07-26-2004 06:19 AM
