Everyone: wear your damn seatbelt!

Chris Cook, 21 years old, wasnt wearing his seatbelt today as he was rear-ended and pushed into oncoming traffic, causing another accident where he was thrown out of his vehicle. He is in ICU as i post this, the doctors say that so far his brain has showed no sign of activity, and the best possible outcome so far is that he will be in a vegetative state. They are gonna wait 24 hours to determine wether or not to keep him on life support or donate his organs. They cant perform a CAT scan or MRI because they are afraid that if something goes wrong with him, they wont be able to get to him in time. His buddy who was riding with him was wearing a seatbelt, and only suffered minor scratches, despite the truck rolling over. This may be the last time i see my buddy and co-worker alive. How many lives are going to be affected by his decision not to wear a seatbelt? Too many. In his case, it wasnt even his fault, but he paid for his and the other driver's stupidity.

Everyone, drive as carefully as possible and always, i mean ALWAYS wear your seatbelt, and make sure everyone riding with you is too. I would hate to see something like this happen to anyone here on the forums.

I'm so very sorry to read about this.

I always wear my seatbelt. It doesn't matter if I am just moving my car from one end of the parking lot to the other. It's a good habit that my parents taught me at a very early age.
