explain the steps to me
 

okay, i want to make sure i have all of this correct.


in order to have our website we will need

a domain name and a web host....correct?

is there anything else? who designes the website, us? the web host?


i found a company that "delivers secure, real-time, third party billing and payment solutions for your web-based business"...they specialize in adult websites


would they design the site? this company would run security and (i think) would be our webmaster


PLEASE HELP ME i dont really know anything about getting websites online

am i going to have to get a business licence? the company i found to process credit cards and electronic checks said i wont need a merchant account to get money outta people....its their job


so why would i need a business licence? do i need one?

you do have to have a registered business to sell something or present a service (ex. porn), and yes all you need is a domain and a host. I would write the site myself if I was you, but if you dont know how to program html, then your only other option is to pay someone. There are stores around that do this kinda thing for you, or get wushu to show you what he can do and if he is good hire him. I would do it but it much too lengthy of a process for me to get involved in right now.

He is correct...you must have a biz license, but I wouldnt worry about it...in va at least you just need to go down to the courthouse and pay your 35 bux...but you also have to do taxes for it next year, which actually could make you some more money than you pay.

Their may be more to it...I havent taken the time to do it with my biz (www.ethertek.net) but plan on doing it within the year.

nope. its that easy. you just have to register with the county clerks office....i'm doing this first and then i'll get around to doing everything else
